Session Notes for v1713, CONTV1713 December 10, 2017, DOY 344 Prepared by David Gordon, NVI, Inc./GSFC =========================================================================== This is number 13 of 15 CONTV17 sessions. Participating stations are the VLBA stations and MEDICINA, SESHAN25, WETTZ13N, and YARRA12M. The frequency sequence is the same as in recent RV sessions. X-band: 8365.75, 8445.75, 8805.75, 8925.75 MHz S-band: 2232.75, 2262.75, 2352.75, 2372.75 MHz. Bandwidths are 8 MHz and 2-bit sampling is used. The frequency ending in .75 MHz is necessary at the VLBA stations. Therefore it will not be possible to monitor phase cals using the 10 kHz filters. Participation by SC-VLBA is doubtful, since their internet communications have been down since two hurricanes in September. However it was tagged along in case it is able to participate. There are 5-minute breaks scheduled for WETTZ13N every three hours for some multi-technique observations. These breaks are scheduled at: 02:55 - 03:00 UTC 05:55 - 06:00 UTC 08:55 - 09:00 UTC 11:55 - 12:00 UTC 14:55 - 15:00 UTC 17:55 - 18:00 UTC 20:55 - 21:00 UTC 23:55 - 00:00 UTC (schedule change) Observations begin at 2017 DOY 344 00:00:00 UTC (December 10) and nominally end at 344 23:55:00. There are two long (300 second) scans near the beginning. These are intended to be fringe finder scans for the VLBA correlator. The first few observations are: Source Start DURATIONS name yyddd-hhmmss Br Fd Hn Kp La Mc Mk Nl Ov Pt Sh Wn Yg Sc 0059+581 17344-000000| 40 40 47 46 47| NRAO530 17344-000000| 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 | 0133+476 17344-000127| 40 40 54 54 53| 0202+319 17344-000302| 148 118 161 161 123| 1803+784 17344-000716| 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300| and the last few observations are: name yyddd-hhmmss Br Fd Hn Kp La Mc Mk Nl Ov Pt Sh Wn Yg Sc 0054+161 17344-234705| 286 215 188 275 216 286 284 217 | 0133+476 17344-235135| 40 40 40 57 40 57| NRAO150 17344-235316| 80 80 80 80 | NRAO530 17344-235339| 60 60 60 60 60 | 1803+784 17344-235342| 60 60 60 60 | Correlation: This experiment will be correlated at the LBO/VLBA on the LBO DiFX software correlator. Most geodesy stations will record three CONTV17 sessions on a single module. The modules must be shipped directly to the VLBA. We cannot do E-transfers for the CONTV17 sessions. Modules should be shipped to the following address: Socorro address for media shipping: VLBA Array Operations Center Long Baseline Observatory Attn: Juan Cordova 1003 Lopezville Road Socorro, NM 87801 U.S.A.
