Gipson, NVI, Inc./GSFC =========================================================== PURPOSE AND GENERAL NOTES =========================================================== GAIA proposal: observation of the 24 sources in the category 4. The Laboratory d'Astrophysique de Bordeaux (LAB) submitted a proposal to observe 195 ICRF2 transfer sources in the context of the GAIA mission. Those 195 sources are divided in four categories. The forth category contains 24 sources which are not part of the IVS monitoring program and which have a poor position accuracy. The goal in observing them in R&D sessions is at first to improve their position accuracy. In RD1404, we use the 24 sources of the category 4 of the GAIA proposal in the astro mode of sked. Forty of the good geodetic sources are used as base of a stable sources set and uniform sky coverage. We use the flux values provided by LAB, modified for the sources with low success rate in previous sessions: we lowered the flux values to force sked to schedule longer scans.
