EUROPE-56 (EUROPEAN Geodetic VLBI Network session No. 56) Schedule and Notes prepared by Axel Nothnagel, University of Bonn Geodetic Institute Date of experiment: 2000 May 15 Nominal start time: 12h00 UT Nominal end time: 12h00 UT on May 16, 2000 Duration: 24 hrs Correlator: Bonn Participating stations: Station Code DSS65 65 Matera Ma Medicina Mc Noto Nt Onsala On Wettzell Wz Yebes Yb Tape usage and scans to be observed: See summary of schedule below Purpose ======= The purpose of this experiment is to determine station coordinates and their evolution in the southern part of the European geodetic VLBI network with the highest precision possible. Schedule ======== The schedule was produced by Axel Nothnagel using the automatic mode of sked. The schedule was optimized for local sky coverage. The sky coverage for all stations were optimzed. Due to correlator transition to Mark IV only 7 stations will be correlated. The minimum SNR on all baselines is 35 at X band and 25 at S band. SNR between YEBES and Onsala and Yebes and Matera are reduced to 25/20 to avoid extraordinary scan lengths. The schedule was made without the early tape start feature. Wettzell was spared for IRIS-Intensive between 136-1647 and 136-1833 Procedures ========== The frequency sequence, EUR2-SX, used for the last EUROPE experiment will also be used for this experiment. Channel Sky Frequency ======= ============= X-band 1 8210.99 2 8220.99 3 8250.99 4 8310.99 5 8420.99 6 8500.99 7 8550.99 8 8570.99 S-band 1 2212.99 2 2227.99 3 2237.99 4 2267.99 5 2287.99 6 2292.99 Correlation =========== This experiment will be correlated at the Bonn Correlator.
