CORE-OHIG12 (Continuous Observations of the Rotation of the Earth and South terrestical reference frame network) 2000 Feb. 10 Notes prepared by Arno Mueskens Geodetic Institute of the University of Bonn, Germany Schedule name: cohg12.skd on CDDISA Nominal Start: 12:00 U.T. on Feb. 10 (day 041) name yyddd-hhmmss Ft Hh Ho Kk Oh Sy 1741-038 00041-120001| 150 150 150 | 0637-752 00041-120002| 90 90| 0458-020 00041-120413| 430 430| 1124-186 00041-120425| 550 550 | Duration: 24 hours Nominal Stop: 12:00 U.T. on Feb. 11 (day 041) name yyddd-hhmmss Ft Hh Ho Kk Oh Sy 0104-408 00042-115408| 130 110 130| NRAO512 00042-115622| 160 160 | 1057-797 00042-115817| 130 130| Correlator: Bonn Purpose ======= The purpose of the CORE-OHIG (Southern Terrestrial Reference Frame) sessions is to tie together optimally the sites in the southern hemisphere. The participating sites include all the sites in the south - O'Higgins, Fortaleza, Hartebeesthoek, and Hobart - as well as Kokee Park. The last site is the southern-most of the northern sites and have been included to make the geometry more robust and to increase the number of observations per scan. Because these sessions concentrate on the southern sites and do not use observing time to accurately tie these sites to far northern sites (as the Global Sessions do) they should yield a very accurate regional TRF around the South Pole. Syowa (Japan/Antartika) are willing to participate in this experiment. The characteristics of this network have changed slightly due to more weigh of the southern part. Schedule ======== This is a new schedule generated with the automatic mode of sked using the variable scan length with a minimum of 70 seconds. The most recent and updated source flux models are included. SNR goals are 20(15) at X-band and 15(10) at S-band for all stations. Due to the uncertain participation of Syowa at this time this station was scheduled in the tag along mode. The predicted SNRs used include a 30 ps noise contribution added in quadrature, which is a typical size for the reweight constants size for the reweight constants required in SOLVE solutions. This schedule was optimized by different features: - the covariance analysis during schedule generation considers the previous 2 hours of observations, - minor SKED optimization parameters . maximum number of observations, were optimized over the best ( in a covariance sense ) 65% of the possible observations, this produces a somewhat more even sky distribution, - observations were weighted by their expected SNRs, - 30 ps noise contribution added, - mimimum time between observations of the same radio source was set to 20 min - use of CvgONLY in order to improve the geometry of observation This schedule was made using 60 sources which helped improve the sky coverage. Procedures ========== Please generate the procedures for this session using drudg. Except of Syowa station who have to prepare K4 setup procedures with the existing skd file. NO PREPASS TIME: There is no time allowed in the schedule for prepassing tapes. Therefore all tapes needed for this experiment must be pre-checked before the start of this experiment. FREQUENCY SEQUENCE: The standard CDP-SX (2Mhz) frequency sequence is used for all CORE-OHIG experiments. THIS SCHEDULE HAS A 10 SECOND EARLY TAPE START ---------------------------------------------- THIN TAPE STATIONS (56kbpi) : KOKEE, HARTRAO, SYOWA(K4) ThICK TAPE STATIONS(33kbpi) : FORTLEZA, OHIGGINS, HOBART Summary ======= SKED Summary from file cohg12.skd for experiment COHG12 (all scans with at least one subnet station) SOURCE |0 6 12 18 | 0003-066Ix xx x xx xxxx xxx xxxxx I 18 18 2.7 0048-097I x x x xx xI 6 6 .9 0104-408I x x x x x x x xx I 9 23 2.8 0119+115I x x x x xx x x xI 9 9 1.3 0119+041I x xxx xx xx x xx I 11 11 1.7 0208-512I x x x x x x x I 7 7 .6 0229+131I xx xx xxx x x I 9 9 1.5 CTA26 I x xx xx x xx xx x xx xx x xxxxx I 21 21 3.2 0402-362I x xx x x x xxx x x I 11 11 1.4 0454-234Ixx x x x x xx x x xx x x x xxx x x I 20 54 7.2 0458-020I x x x I 3 3 .5 0528+134I x x xx xxxxxxxxx xx x xx xxxxx x I 24 28 4.4 0537-441I x x xx I 4 4 .5 0552+398I x x x x x x xxxx I 10 10 2.0 0637-752I x x x x x I 5 7 .7 0727-115Ixx x xx x xx xxxxxxxxxx xxx xx xxxxxxx xxxx I 34 75 10.7 0749+540I x x x x I 4 4 1.3 0823+033Ix x x x x x xxx x xI 11 11 1.6 OJ287 I xx x x xxxxx xx xx x x xx x I 18 18 3.1 0920-397I x I 1 1 .1 4C39.25 Ix x xx x x x xx xI 10 10 3.5 0955+476I x xx x I 4 4 1.3 1034-293I x x x xx xx xx xx x I 12 12 1.3 1044+719I x I 1 1 .4 1057-797I x x x x x x x I 7 11 1.2 1124-186I x xx x x x x xxxxx xx x x xI 17 21 2.7 1128+385I x I 1 1 .9 1144-379I x x x xx xx x xx x x I 12 16 1.8 1308+326I x x xx xx I 6 6 2.0 1334-127I x xx x x x xxx xxx x I 13 13 1.9 1351-018I x x x x xx xxxxxxx I 13 13 2.1 1357+769I x x x I 3 3 1.6 1424-418I x x xx x xx x xx x x x x xxx xI 18 24 2.8 1606+106I x x xxxxxxxxxxx xx I 15 15 2.4 1610-771Ix x x x x x x I 7 13 1.5 1622-253I x x xxx xxx x xx x x x xx xxxxxxxx xxxI 27 33 4.1 NRAO512 I x x x xxx x x I 8 8 1.6 1739+522I x I 1 1 .3 1741-038Ixx x xxxx xxx xxx x x xx xx x xxxxxxxxxxx xxxI 34 69 10.1 1749+096I x x xx xx x x I 8 14 2.1 1815-553I x x x x xx I 6 6 .5 1921-293Ixxx xxx xx x x xx x xx x x xxxx x xx I 26 56 6.7 1954-388Ixx x xx x xx x xxx xx xxI 17 32 3.5 1958-179Ix x x xxx x x x I 9 21 2.8 2052-474I x I 1 1 .1 2121+053Ixx x x x x xx xx I 10 10 1.6 2145+067I x x x xx xx x x xx I 11 11 1.7 2234+282I x x x I 3 3 .5 2255-282I xxxx xx I 6 6 .8 Total scans, obs: 541 764 Average number of obs. per baseline per source (normalized by up-time) = 2.0 Min = .0 Max = 32.7 (Baseline Hh-Sy on 0727-115) RMS = 5.1 Total time: 1440 minutes ( 24.0 hours).
