CA075 #2843 tar-save has been created
1999 Nov 16-17 Processing factor = ??
DOY 320-321 94% have fourfit Quality Codes of 5-9.

Algonquin: OK.

Gilcreek: OK.

HartRAO: At X-band, fringes only in lower 4 frequency channels.
IF3 module was configured incorrectly due to an error
              in a Field System procedure.

Matera: ~10% of S-band scans are assigned fourfit 'G' error codes
due to weak fringes in a channel caused by RFI.

Tsukuba: OK.

Westford: OK.

   QC=5-9
AE 98% A - Gilcreek
AI 93% E - Westford
AT 99% G - Algonquin
GA 93% I - Matera
JT 100% J - HartRAO
            T - Tsukuba

CA075 (1999 November 16-17)
===========================

Correlator notes:

HartRAO: Entire experiment recorded with IF3 module improperly set up,
hence no fringes in upper 4 X-band channels. The set-up procedure ifdwb
was never edited to replace the 'atnx' (x=1,2,3) placeholders in the
ifd and if3 commands with actual attenuation values (despite 24 hours
of continual error messages every time the procedure was executed).
Therefore these commands were ignored, and the if3 module, which was
initially in the 'mixer out' state, remained that way, rather than in
the correct 'mixer in' state.

Reprocessing list included missed scans, non-detections, error codes,
short scans, and scans with pcal_amp(1) < .001 for any station. Some
additional scans to be reprocessed were identified from examining fringe
plots of outliers in plots of sbd, mbd, and drate vs. time and of
fringe amp(channel n) vs. fringe amp(all). Those scans, listed below,
all had poor playback, mainly when a station was on drive 5, with
the exception of the first scan, which had a mini-G code (i.e., fringes
disappeared in one channel more than halfway through the scan, so the
channel amp is >0.5 times average amp).

  320-2029_1921-293
  321-0603_0528+134
  321-0607_0552+398
  321-0611_0804+499
  321-0616_1124-186
  321-0619_1144-379
  321-0622_1034-293
  321-0627_1351-018
  321-0639_0727-115
  321-0712_1144-379
  321-1043_OJ287
  321-1657_NRAO512

Because the reprocessing list constructed as outlined above was so long
(~27% of the total scans), G codes that could be positively identified
as due to S-band RFI at Matera were omitted from the list.

August 21, after cleanup pass:

Refringed mismatched FRTs on doy 234. Also refringed 4 HartRAO X-band
baselines with narrow MBD windows (due to subambiguity problems with
only 4 channels when SNR is low).

Compared alist files generated with 'edit dup qc' and 'edit dup snr'.
In many cases, best data are clearly those with highest SNR, not best
QC, so in 19 cases substituted highest SNR type-2 for best QC.

Experiment completed. Clock offset = 10.46 microsecs.(MASRT LATE)
Weather throughout was mainly dry and clear with some light cloud
build up during the latter half of the experiment.
We had one problem in that the steer pc bombed out at 04:36. Rebooting
overcame the problem and everything was back to normal. I think we have
a memory (lack of) problem with our steer pc.
Read-head problem still with us.

installed and the maser has been running smooth ever since. Many thanks to
