Schedule ======== This is a new schedule made by Kurt Standke using the automatic mode of sked. This schedule was optimized for station positions of all participating stations with Wettzell as the reference station. The schedule was written using variable scan lengths with a minimum scan length of 90 seconds. The minimum SNR on all baselines is 20 at X-band and 15 at S-band. The formal errors for station positions are estimated to be 2 - 3 mm vertical and less 1 mm horizontal for most stations. This schedule was made with the early tape start (15 seconds) feature. This is the first EUROPE experiment with Yebes as a participating station. Yebes was tagged along to this experiment because the SEFDs are not known as yet. The antenna parameters were provided by Paco Colomer. Procedures ========== The frequency sequence, EUR-SX, used for the last EUROPE experiments will also be used for this experiment. The EUR-SX frequency sequence avoids S-band interference problems at Medicina and Matera by lowering the two outer channels by 5 MHz. The X-band frequencies of the EUR-SX frequency sequence are the same as the standard CDP-SX frequency sequence used in previous EUROPE experiments. The S-band frequencies 9 and 14 have been changed to 2212.99 and 2297.99, respectively. During this experiment Noto will have 8 base band converters. Noto will use the same frequency sequence as in EUROPE-2. Noto will have a total of 6 X-band frequencies and 2 S-band frequencies. The following frequency set-up will be used by Noto: Channel Sky Frequency ======= ============= X-band 1 8210.99 3 8250.99 5 8420.99 6 8500.99 7 8550.99 8 8570.99 S-band 2 2222.99 5 2292.99 Materials ========= A supply of mailing labels and red dots for used tapes have been shipped to each station. Correlation =========== This experiment will be correlated at the Bonn Correlator in four passes with all baselines being correlated.
